Reports, Arrests and Citations

Incident Reports:

February 19th, LCSO began an investigation on theft of services committed by an employer who ceased to pay an individual for crop-dusting work.  Formal charges to be sought on suspect.

February 21st, deputies responded to the area of South Mitchell and U.S. Highway 36 in reference to a leaving the scene of an accident report.  Investigation showed a semi-driver had backed into a passenger vehicle and then continued Eastbound on U.S. 36.  Linn County Sheriff's Office was able to locate and stop the vehicle.  Dejahn Hutsona, 25, San Diego was arrested, processed and released on a summons for leaving the scene of an accident.

February 22nd, deputy responded to a rollover accident on Trenton Road in Chillicothe near the railroad tracks.  The vehicle was found to be unoccupied and was towed from the scene.  The driver, identified as Michael Behnke, later responded to the Chillicothe Police Department to report he was the driver.  Formal charges to be sought.

February 27th, LCSO responded with fire crews to the 4000 block of U.S. Highway 65 in reference to a residence on fire.  Crews were able to extinguish the fire, and the Missouri State Fire Marshall's Office was summoned to investigate.  Agencies were dispatched the next day to the same location as the fire had reignited and spread to surrounding properties.  That fire would also be extinguished.

February 27th, LCSO took a report from a county resident who discovered their tires were slashed.  The vehicle owner was unsure where the property damage may have occurred, and an incident report was completed to be kept on file.

March 2nd, deputies assisted the Chillicothe Police Department with securing a residence for a search warrant in the 400 block of Walnut Street in Chillicothe.

March 2nd, LCSO responded to the Ludlow area in reference to harassment.  Investigation showed harassment had occurred and illegal narcotics were also recovered by another agency from the suspect who was later located.

March 3rd, deputies removed suspected narcotics and paraphernalia from a vehicle at the owner's request at the LCSO.  The vehicle had reportedly been loaned out to someone else in February.  Items were removed and will be destroyed-no criminal charges are pending at this time.

 

 Arrests:

February 6th, Anthony R.V. Martin, 38, Chillicothe, was arrested on an active Livingston County arrest warrant for case #24LV-CR00527 at the courthouse.  Martin was then processed and released on an OR bond.

February 14th, Lane McCoy, 18, Chillicothe, was arrested on an active Livingston County arrest warrant in reference to case #24LV-CR00375 in the 7000 block of LIV 237.  McCoy was unable to post $5,000 cash bond and was transported to Caldwell County Detention Center.

February 17th, Dennelle Caldwell, 36, Altamont, turned herself in on an active Livingston County arrest warrant on case #25LV-CR00032.  Bond was denied on this case and Caldwell was transported to CCDC.

February 21st, Charles Brandon Collins, 41, Chillicothe, was arrested in the 800 block of Easton Street on an active Livingston County arrest warrant on case #22LV-CR00482-01.  Collins was unable to post $20,000 cash bond and was transported to Caldwell County Detention Center.

February 26th, Rylin Clark, 19, Chillicothe, turned himself in on an active Livingston County arrest warrant on case #25LV-CR00060 at the courthouse.  Clark was then processed and released on an OR bond.

February 27th, Douglas Lowe, 59, Wheeling, was arrested on an active Caldwell County arrest warrant on case #24CL-CR00179 in the 4000 block of U.S. 65.  Lowe posted $10,000 cash bond and was released with a Caldwell County court date.

February 28th, Jason Schowengerdt, 49, Chillicothe, was arrested on a violation of an order of protection and resisting arrest in the 10000 block of LIV 237.  Schowengerdt was processed and transported to Caldwell County Detention Center pending formal charges.

March 4th, Daniel Buttman, 37, Chillicothe, was arrested on an active Livingston County arrest warrant on case #24LV-CR00259 in the 10000 block of LIV 228.  Buttman was processed and released on an OR bond.

 

Citations:

February 16th, Michael Bigham, 21, Indiana, was issued a citation for traveling 86 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. Highway 36 near LIV 261.

February 16th, Makalita Ulupano, 56, Trenton, was issued citations for traveling 81 MPH in a 60 MPH zone and no insurance on U.S. Highway 65 near LIV 216.

March 1st, Vacenio Warren, 49, Lee's Summit, was issued a citation for failing to drive on the right half of the roadway on U.S. 36 near LIV 233.
