Incident Reports:

December 17 LCSO responded to the area of Highway 190 and LIV 233 regarding a young child walking unattended along the roadway.  Deputy located the child and mother who arrived on scene.  Mother explained she had received a call about her child and the 5 year old had walked away wanting to go see the grandmother.  Mother explained this has never happened before.  Informational report completed and notified to Children's Division as required.

December 17 LCSO opened an incident report on alleged sex offender registration violation.  The suspect is currently a fugitive on a warrant for a previous sex offender registration violation allegation.  Information will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.

December 22 LCSO took a report of a dog bite that happened in the 10000 block of Old Highway 190 where the victim was a young child and the incident took place on or about December 17.  The child was treated at a hospital for the injuries.  The animal owner has had the dog quarantined at a local vet office.  Information submitted to the Livingston County Health Center.

December 22 LCSO began investigation into alleged violation of protection order.  Information filed and investigation continues.

December 22 an off-duty deputy reported witnessing a male driving who has a revoked/suspended license.  The suspect has multiple convictions for the same and was most recently in Court in Livingston County for the same type of office December 20.  A report is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.

December 23 LCSO deputy assisted Chillicothe Police with a report of Domestic Disturbance in the 600 block of Sunset.  No arrests were made and parties agreed to separate for 12 hours.

December 26 about 2:51 p.m. LCSO was dispatched to the western part of Livingston County on a family disturbance.  A person was having a mental health issue and deputies talked with the person and family.  It was determined there was no need for immediate intervention and information was shared on options for assistance in our area.  A report was submitted to the Crisis Intervention Team for additional services.

December 29 about 10:45 a.m. LCSO responded to Mooresville where a resident reported unknown person had stolen a tire and lug nuts from their parked vehicle.  Investigation continues.

December 29 about 7:33 p.m. LCSO and MSHP responded to the 2000 block of Highway U on a reported Domestic Disturbance.  One person was gone on officer's arrival and appears alcohol may have contributed to the issue.  No evidence of criminal violation.

 

Most Wanted Updates:

Arrested December 22:

Nicholas Allen Duckworth, 31, was arrested by Jackson County authorities on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on 2 counts class A misdemeanor Non-Support.  Bond set at $1,000 cash on case #23LV-CR00509.  Mr. Duckworth has been extradited by LCSO and since been released on bond by the court.

 

Other Arrests:

December 20 about 1:00 p.m. LCSO arrested Joshua J. Fisher, 29, Kearney, on Livingston County arrest warrant 23LV-CR00167-01 for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on original class E felony DWI-Persistent Offender.  Mr. Fisher was processed at the LEC and transferred to the Caldwell County Detention Center in lieu of bond.

December 20 at 2:31 p.m. LCSO arrested Crystal Dawn Tanner, 40, Jamesport, on Livingston County arrest warrant 23LV-CR00560 for alleged class E felony Sex Offender Physically Present/Loiter within 500 feet of Park with Playground Equipment/Pool-1st offense.  Ms. Tanner had surrendered to the LCSO, was processed and released on bond.

December 30 about noon LCSO deputy was on U.S. 36 near Wheeling and checked a westbound vehicle consistently traveling at 96 in a 65.  Stop resulted in the arrest of Diane Geraldine Gill-Kaindoh, 56, Baltimore MD for the speeding allegation.  Subject was processed at the LEC and released after posting bond.

December 31 about 11:40 a.m. LCSO deputy spotted eastbound vehicle on U.S. 36 just west of Chillicothe consistently traveling at a very fast rate and checked at 91 in a 65.  Stop resulted in the arrest of Jason Dwayne McCurdy, 53, Youkon OK for the alleged speeding violation.  Mr. McCurdy was processed and released at the LEC after posting bond.

 

Citations:

December 20 at 12:45 p.m. an Indiana driver was cited for 90 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mooresville.

December 20 at 3:15 p.m. a Missouri driver was cited for 72 in a 55 on Highway 190 at Route Y.

December 21 at 3:45 p.m. a Tennessee driver was cited for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at LIV 255.

December 21 at 4:15 p.m. a Missouri driver was cited for 89 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Highway C

December 23 at 10:45 a.m. a Missouri driver was cited for 84 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mooresville.

December 26 at 10:40 a.m. a Michigan driver was cited for 90 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Liv 255.

January 01 at 2:13 p.m. a New Jersey driver was cited for 87 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mooresville.

 

Additional Information:

LCSO had a relatively quiet Christmas and New Year's Holiday.  We assisted other agencies with calls for service, helped some motorists and people in need, and continued with investigations.

It has been a busy time administratively as we have submitted our 2024 budget proposals.

Currently the LCSO has 39 people in custody.
