Greetings and welcome to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office website and Livingston County, Missouri.
We are located in north central Missouri and cover 538 square miles. Chillicothe is our county seat and has a population of around 8,706 people while approximately 15,195 people call Livingston County their home.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office serves our citizens and the communities of Avalon, Bedford, Chillicothe, Chula, Dawn, Farmersville, Ludlow, Mooresville, Utica, and Wheeling.
We believe you will find Livingston County a great place to live, raise your family, grow a garden, enjoy mother nature, and appreciate all that a quality life has to offer. We are known for having friendly people, great schools, and family traditions.
Although our office has an “Open Door” policy, you will find the doors to our jail are always closed.
Our Goal is to develop and maintain a useful and helpful website which further enhances our belief in communicating and educating our citizens to reduce crime and increase safety for you, your family, and your friends.
