Jail Roster Information

Livingston County Sheriff’s Office Launches New Website Feature

 Mcgruff picture

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office launched a new website on January 26, 2012 and we are pleased to announce that we have now added our jail roster to the site.  We invite the community to visit our site at www.livcoso.org to view the new jail roster.

Having the jail roster online will allow the public to view photos and booking details for individuals in the detention center as well as those released within the last 48 hours.  You can also sign up to receive alerts via text or email each morning showing who has been booked in or released within the past 24 hours.   This jail roster feature is also a great tool to discuss with your family and friends as there is no hiding anyone incarcerated here on a criminal violation.  If the fear of being featured on the website prevents anyone from making bad choices and violating the law; then everyone wins.

The jail roster and most wanted features of our website is an excellent tool in helping to identify persons responsible for other crimes, bring those fugitives before the Courts, and to reduce overall criminal activity within our community.

Between January 26 and the time of this release on March 25 our website has received a 18,131 visits with more then 488,000 pages viewed; resulting in tips which we have led to the arrest of at least 18 people featured on the “Most Wanted” section.  The website also feeds our Facebook page and we appreciate everyone who follows us on that social media outlet.

A prime example of how useful this website is for our office and this community was during the recent investigation of a home invasion and shots being fired at a victim.  We posted up to date information on the website which immediately went out to those who had signed up for text or email alerts in addition to all area media and on Facebook.  The website was visited a total of 3,562 (does not include Facebook visits) times between April 18-20.  Based on the number of tips we received by call in and email and the comments made it was obvious many people were responding based on the immediate dissemination of information provided through the web and news media.

Our Website – www.livcoso.org provides details on all aspects of the Sheriff’s Office. One of our goals when developing the new Website was to provide a centralized location for current information such as press release information, locations area sex offenders are living, and help provide answers to the many questions we are asked weekly.

The Website was developed by MostWantedWebsites.com being Brooks-Jeffrey Marketing, Inc. of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Brooks-Jeffrey specializes in the production of law enforcement and government website solutions.

We greatly appreciate your support, comments, and information that have been provided to our office.  For more information about the Website please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 660-646-0515 or visitwww.livcoso.org
