Incidents, Arrests, and MORE

Incidents:

April 29 the LCSO took a report of a locked farm building in the Wheeling area being entered and 3 game cameras were stolen. LCSO had previously recovered the alleged stolen game cameras during a different investigation. The LCSO has completed interviews and the report and statement of probable cause are being submitted to Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren for consideration of charges.

May 18 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Chris Mueller filed a report with the LCSO regarding an assault investigation on school property. Incident involved 2 juveniles and the collected information and evidence was submitted to juvenile authorities. Parents and school officials were promptly notified as well.

May 23 the LCSO began an investigation of reported threats, peace disturbance, and harassment to a citizen via social media. The messages have been preserved and investigation continues.

May 26 LCSO responded to report of domestic disturbance. Investigation shows the couple were arguing over personal matter and no physical contact was made. The couple agreed to separate for the night. No arrests made.

May 28 citizen reported discovering boat had been damaged during winter storage. Investigation is continuing.

May 29 citizen reported mailbox being damaged in the Ludlow area. Investigation continues.

May 31 LCSO responded to private property regarding concern of wild marijuana growing on property. Deputy confirmed it was marijuana that appeared to be wild and not cultivated. Property owner is in process of properly destroying the weeds.

June 1 the LCSO began an investigation of 2 reported sex related offenses involving juvenile victims. A suspect has been identified and has allegedly left the Livingston County area and is believed to now be in the St. Louis area. A deputy has briefly spoken with the suspect via phone. A statement of probable cause has been delivered to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges. Investigation continues.


 

Arrests:

May 24 the LCSO arrested Dustin R. Johnson, 31, Sedalia on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony of Nonsupport

May 27 the LCSO served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Paul Lee Estes, 42, Utica for alleged operating a vehicle without insurance and no seat belt. Mr. Estes subsequently posted $300 bond and was released from the LCSO.

May 28 the LCSO arrested Jordan C. Riggins, 27, Ludlow, on a Linn County arrest warrant for alleged traffic violation. Mr. Riggins subsequently posted the $122 bond at the LCSO and was released.

June 3 the LCSO arrested Amber Pinkley, 36 who was being released from the Chillicothe Correctional Center on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class C felony Assault/Attempt Assault on Law Enforcement, Corrections Officer or Probation/Parole Officer. Ms. Pinkley posted bond of $5,000 and was released pending next court appearance.


 

Additional Information:

June 03 the LCSO had 7 detainees in Circuit Court appearing before the Honorable Thomas N. Chapman.

We have 29 detainees being held at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.


 

Traffic Citations:

May 15 cited Kansas City man for 81 in a 65 and no valid driver’s license.

May 25 a deputy witnessed a semi pulling an oversized load on U.S. 65 near the Chula junction in a careless manner and was checked at 75 in a 60. The semi driver was stopped and issued citations for alleged excessive speed and violating special permit for vehicle.

May 30 Illinois man cited for 85 in a 65 on U.S. 36 and Liv 261. Chillicothe man cited for 89 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Route C.
