Public Information on Incidents, Arrests, and More

Incidents:

November 02 the LCSO began an investigation of reported property damage and burglary to a Church in Wheeling. The front door window had been shattered. Nothing was immediately found missing.

November 03 LCSO began a burglary and stealing investigation at a location in Wheeling where a city owned building was unlawfully entered and the 3rd party owner of a Stihl Weed eater, Stihl Leaf blower, and gas can with fuel were stolen. Investigation continues and this is likely related to the above incident.

November 03 LCSO investigated report of domestic assault at location in Wheeling. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Nathan James Mix, 31, Wheeling for alleged Domes Assault. Mr. Mix was incarcerated pending filing of formal charges. Mr. Mix was also cited for an alleged driver’s license violation.

November 02 LCSO followed up on a tip that a local registered sex offender has a social media account on line. That registered offender allegedly was not disclosing this information on mandatory registration forms. Subject was interviewed and the investigation report will be submitted to Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren for consideration of charges.

October 22 an investigation began of a male calling from an unknown number to a local female resident. The caller has continually made very personal threats. Investigation is still on-going.

October 22 an investigation into property damage and burglary took place in the Avalon area. Unknown person(s) forced open a locked door to an outbuilding. Investigation continues.

 

Arrests:

October 27 the LCSO served a Livingston County arrest warrant on John Paul Ashford Jr, 42, Chillicothe, for alleged class D felony Leaving Scene of Motor Vehicle Accident and misdemeanor Driving While License Suspended/Revoked. Mr. Ashford was transferred to the DDCRJ in lieu of bond.

November 02 Skyler Scott Robinson, 18, Meadville surrendered to the LCSO on a Livingston County arrest warrant where he mistakenly failed to pay a seat belt citation. Mr. Robinson quickly posted bond and was released.

November 03 LCSO arrested Miles Eli McLemore, 22, Chillicothe, on arrest warrants from Lees Summit PD for alleged traffic related matters. Mr. McLemore was transferred to Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond and awaiting extradition to Lee Summit.

November 03 LCSO arrested Shannon Michael Hamilton, 21, Chillicothe, on a Dallas County arrest warrant for alleged Liquor Law violation. Mr. Hamilton posted the $200 bond and was released pending Court appearance.

 

Other Information:

Citizen reported a potential scam received via U.S. Mail where the author of the letter was seeking contact from our citizen in attempt to eliminate Timeshare Maintenance Fee Bills.

November 03 a deputy assisted the Children’s Division on a wellbeing check.

November 05, Sheriff Cox executed a Court order removing a tenant from a property in Chillicothe. The landlord had exhausted all due process in attempting to remedy the situation and the Court ordered the sheriff to take possession of the property.

LCSO staff recently attended the town meetings in Ludlow and Chula where area information was exchanged.

Currently the LCSO is holding 53 detainees in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
