The LCSO had a very busy week with Court activities at the Livingston County Courthouse. Monday was Civil Law day and Tuesday was Criminal Law day, both with Judge Thomas N. Chapman.
Between Tuesday and Wednesday a total of 50 Livingston County detainees held at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail (DDCRJ) appeared in Court before either Judge Chapman or Judge Valbracht. Tuesday we had 33 detainees at Circuit Court Criminal Law Day and another 17 detainees in Associate Circuit Court on Wednesday before Judge James P. Valbracht.
DDCRJ brought 3 van loads of detainees and assisted with guarding these people.
At least 3 of the detainees attempted to be somewhat of a disruption, mouthy, or making improper comments during their time with us but their ability to create a disruption was minimized. A Deputy and Detention Officer had to remind a few citizens to stay away from the detainees and transport vehicles.
