In 2014 the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office partnered with the Missouri Sheriffs’ Association Training Academy and with the help of the Grand River Technical School brought the 1st Basic Law Enforcement Academy course to Chillicothe/Livingston County area. We are on schedule to graduate 9 new Licensed Peace Officers to the State of Missouri in June 2015.
Due to the excellent feedback and positive experiences with this Law Enforcement Academy we are all working together to bring a 2nd Basic Law Enforcement Academy course to Chillicothe/Livingston County. This is tentatively set to begin August 13, 2015 and graduate June 29, 2016.
If you are interested in attending this academy please contact Donna or Gina with the Missouri Sheriffs’ Association Training Academy at 573-635-5925, visit the MSA’s website, or click link below to download an application. Feel free to talk with the deputies or sheriff at the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office about this academy training program.
We are proud of and greatly appreciate all the hard work Chief Deputy Michael Claypole has done with being the training site coordinator in addition the efforts and work from the local Instructors, Grand River Technical School, and Missouri Sheriffs’ Association.
