The LCSO is currently investigating a report of sex offense(s) on child(ren). We are being assisted in this investigation by the Children’s Division and Missouri State Technical Assistance Team. Investigation continues.
March 01 a deputy investigated a reported of domestic disturbance where male reported mother of their child had shoved him when he was holding child. Female party located and advised she did shove the father of their child after he was calling her very rude and derogatory names. No arrests and no charges being sought.
March 02 a deputy responded to a location in Utica for a reported Domestic Disturbance. No criminal violation had reportedly taken place and the matter was a verbal dispute.
March 04 deputy and MSHP responded to a disturbance call and no criminal arrests were made. Parties were informed of additional services offered and assisted with that.
March 05 a citizen reported their personal identity had been stolen and used to open credit with a large business and a purchase of over $1600 had been recently ordered. That shipment was cancelled and the investigation continues.
March 05 a Utica resident reported the theft of the vehicle radio from the unattended vehicle. Investigation continues.
March 08 an investigation of a dog biting a pedestrian on Old Highway 190 was made. The bit victim had been bitten and identified the dog and dog’s location. The victim obtained non-emergency medical attention for the bite. The caretaker of the dog was contacted and informed of the incident. The deputy learned the dog had not been vaccinated and the animal was requested to be quarantined and information shared with the Department of Health as required.
March 9 a deputy completed 2 investigation reports regarding defendants that failed to appear in Livingston County Court. The files are being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of additional charge.
March 9 a deputy was summoned to South West School regarding a reported threat from a juvenile student to another juvenile student. The reported victim, witnesses, and reported suspect (with parent) were interviewed. The information has been forwarded to the juvenile authorities and the school will review any administrative matters.
February 2015 investigation resulted in arrest. Deputy investigated vehicle and occupant(s) on U.S. 36 and subsequently arrested Kenneth Lee Stevens, 33, Meadville, for alleged DWI-Aggravated Offender, Possession of Controlled Substance and Driving While Revoked. Mr. Stevens has since been charged in Livingston County Associate Court and remains incarcerated in the DDCRJ. The Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office on this investigation.
March 06 a deputy served a 96 hour Court order on a resident in the western part of Livingston County and that person was transported to a treatment facility.
March 09 a deputy served 2 Livingston County arrest warrants on Jason Edward Jones, 40, Chillicothe, for alleged Probation Violation on original conviction of class C felony Passing Bad Check of $500 or more and class C felony Stealing. Bond was denied by the Court on the probation violation and set at $10,000 on the stealing allegation. Mr. Jones was transferred to DDCRJ.
March 10 a deputy extradited Jessie L. Ingraham, 28, Trenton from the Grundy County Sheriff and served a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class A felony of Distributing Controlled Substance Near Schools. Bond was placed at $25,000 and Mr. Ingraham was transferred to DDCRJ in lieu of bond.
March 11 a deputy served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Mason Brent Mehrhoff, 20, Dawn for alleged class A misdemeanor Theft/Stealing property valued less than $500. Bond was set by the Court at $2500 and Mr. Mehrhoff was
March 12, Stoney Ray Eichler, 32, Chillicothe surrendered himself to the LCSO on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on original class A misdemeanor conviction of DWI-Alcohol-Prior Offender. Mr. Eichler posted the $5000 bond and was released pending next Court appearance.
March 09 a deputy issued a St. Joseph man a citation for traveling 81 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mooresville Junction.
March 13 the sheriff stopped a semi driver after the subject was witnessed to be urinating on the public highway just south of a Chillicothe business on U.S. 36. Information was shared with the prosecuting attorney.
As of March 14 the LCSO is holding 44 detainees in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
