LCSO staff has remained extremely busy on a variety of on-going investigations including the grain bin explosion on December 26. We have worked on the end of year requirements, grant reports, and 2015 budget proposals.
December 24 the LCSO investigated a report involving an alleged violation of custody pertaining to Court ordered Guardianship and a senior citizen. The order was from another Missouri county and a local resident had pickup up their parent and was unaware that a Court order had already been entered. The matter was resolved without further incident.
December 23 a mailbox was destroyed on Liv 216. That matter remains under investigation.
December 29 a deputy issued a Lees Summit man a citation for excessive speed of 92 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Liv 259.
December 30 a deputy responded to a call on Highway 190 near Highway Y where a Princeton man had driven off the roadway. Investigation into possible intoxicated driver is still on-going and a report is being submitted to the Prosecuting Attorney for consideration of charge(s).
December 31 a deputy investigated report of domestic disturbance in Ludlow. Investigation resulted in the citation for alleged Driving While Revoked. Report being submitted to the Prosecuting Attorney for consideration.
January 02 we began an investigation on Liv 407 where unknown person(s) illegally entered a vacant home and removed certain items. Same suspect(s) are believed responsible for stealing a 2006 Polaris 4 wheeler ATV and flatbed trailer from the property, these two items are owned by a person currently incarcerated in prison. Investigations continue.
January 06 an investigation of domestic disturbance in the northwest part of Livingston County. Deputy assisted one person going to another location. Additional services provided. Report being submitted to Prosecuting Attorney for review and consideration.
January 06 the LCSO is continuing with a child abuse investigation which began in October. We are continuing to receive the assistance from Division of Family Services and Child Advocacy Center.
January 07 an on-going investigation of reported filing a false report is continuing.
We are continuing several past burglary investigations and attempting to coordinate with other agencies specific criminal activities for charges in our jurisdiction or theirs.
January 06 a deputy served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Justin Allen Hogan for alleged class D felony Sex Offender Registration Violation. Mr. Hogan was transferred from the CPD to the LCSO where he subsequently posted bond.
Currently we are holding 42 detainees in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
