May 09 we responded to a location on Highway JJ in reference to checking the well-being of a senior citizen. We learned the mail and other items and not been collected and eventually forced entry into the home. Deputies discovered the resident was deceased and an unattended death investigation took place along with the county coroner. Preliminary investigation suggests natural causes as the only factor. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family, friends and loved ones.
May 09 Adam James Boyd, 28, Hale surrendered to the LCSO and posted bond after being served a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Domestic Assault 2nd Degree.
May 10 a deputy found a small fire in the Poosey Park area. It appeared a camper had cooked in the area and vacated.
On May 12 we served 2 arrest warrants on a case of alleged Endangering the Welfare of a Child that has been investigated for several weeks by our office, juvenile authorities and the Division of Family Services. A Livingston County felony arrest warrant for alleged Endangering the Welfare of a Child in 1st Degree was served on Dakota Danielle Stoner, 22, and Jamie Earnest Stoner, 24 both of Chillicothe. Both posted bond and were released pending their next court appearance.
May 12 deputies were in Ludlow and found a fugitive on our Most Wanted list being Lacy Blu Merys-Reeves, 27 was arrested on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on a class C felony of Forgery.
An investigation of potential child molestation from a location in/near Ludlow has been investigated since April 15 by our office, Juvenile authorities, DFS and Child Advocacy Center. No evidence has been found to support any type of arrest or charge.
LCSO staff is continuing with a variety of on-going criminal investigations and working with several law enforcement agencies outside of the county on local crimes.
We currently have 36 detainees in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail, 10 of which are female detainees.
