Investigations, Arrests, and Other News.

 

 

Incidents:

 

On November 24 we began investigation of an unattended death in the 21000 block of Park Street, Avalon, MO.  Investigation shows Larry Leon Keithley, 73, Avalon, passed away at his home.  Coroner J. Scott Lindley and Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services Ambulance unit were there to assist.  Evidence supports natural cause in the death.  Our thoughts and prayers for the family and friends of Mr. Keithley.

 

November 23 we began an investigation of identity theft and fraud where a Dawn resident is the victim.  Unknown persons opened an unauthorized credit card in the victims name and rang up over $2,300 in debt.  Information has been shared with the creditor, fraud department, and others.  Investigation continues.

On November 22 we began an investigation into Stealing a Controlled Substance-Oxycotin from a residence on Liv 520.  Investigation resulted in the arrest and formal charges being filed on Michael G. Head Jr., 35, Chillicothe, for the alleged Theft/Stealing of any controlled substance as defined by 195.010 RSMO.  Mr. Head was incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail and has since been charged in Livingston County Associate Circuit Court for the same allegation.


 

 

Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with our office regarding the theft of an iPhone 4 from a teacher at the Grand River Area Vocational School on or about November 11.  Investigation continues.


 

 

Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with our office that on or about November 11 a juvenile was allegedly making threats of serious physical violence to at least one other juvenile via a social networking site.  All persons and parent(s) have been interviewed or spoken with.  The Juvenile matter is now in charge of the disposition.


 

 

November 14 we began an investigation of reported property damage to Liv 265 south of U.S. 36 on the west side of Muddy Creek.  This is an unimproved county road and less then ½ mile of what appears to have been the roadway has been chisel-plowed.  We have received information from citizens, Wheeling Township Board Members, and the Livingston County Commission.  The investigation file is being turned over to Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren for review and guidance.


 

 

We have completed an investigation of a reported aggressive driver.  Victim made report on November 04 that on November 02 an incident took place in the 19000 block of Liv 232.  Investigation report shows roadway was of sufficient width, no physical evidence on roadway remained which may support careless driving, and the potential suspect driver was interviewed.  The report is being reviewed by the prosecuting attorney for any guidance or consideration of charges.


Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report in our office that on November 21 he began an investigation at the Alternative School in Chillicothe.  Investigation involved alleged drug activity and resulted in the seizure of evidence and citations to a student for alleged Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  The parent(s) and school administration have been notified.  The school is taking administrative action and the report is being submitted to Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren.


 

Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report in our office that on or about November 21, a student reported having $50 dollars stolen.


On November 21, Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with our office regarding the theft of property and property damage at Diapers and Diplomas near the Vocational School.  Investigation has video evidence of 2 kid’s allegedly damaging property on the playground area.  The victim also reported missing at least one “Easy Ride Jumbo Wagon”, being yellow in color.  Investigation continues.


 

Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with our office regarding the alleged theft of item(s) from another student(s).  Investigation shows a juvenile arrived at school on November 17 in possession of a stolen bag from another juvenile which had been taken days earlier.  Juvenile Officer, parent(s), and school officials were involved in the process.  A second juvenile was identified and questioned with parent and juvenile officer present.  The case file is being turned over to the juvenile office for consideration while school officials are considering administrative action.


 

November 24 we investigated a report of trespassing.  Victim reported female refused to leave his property during her attempts to contact his/her child outside the perimeters of the child custody order.  Incident allegedly took place on Liv 239.


 

November 23 we began an investigation or property damage and trespassing near Liv 232 and Liv 251.  Victim reported that between November 14 and 16 unknown person(s) entered private property and intentionally destroyed a Redneck Deer Blind.  Investigation shows the stand was knocked over and dragged some distance then 2 metal legs were cut off.  Value of damage estimated at $2,500.  Investigation continues. 


 

November 21 we completed an investigation of alleged Failing to Appear in Livingston County Associate Court.  A 36 year old Utica woman allegedly failed to appear in Associate Circuit Court on original charges of Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway, and Failure to have 2 lighted headlamps.


 

November 21 we completed an investigation of alleged Failing to Appear in Livingston County Associate Court.  A 26 year old Braymer resident allegedly failed to appear in Court on an original charge of No Auto Insurance Proof, Child Restraint Violation, and Failing to Register a Motor Vehicle.  An additional charge is expected.


 

Arrests:

November 25 we served an El Paso County, Colorado warrant on Kyle Charles Jettelson, 21, Chillicothe in the 1100 block of N. Washington.  The warrant is for alleged 3 counts of Contributing to Delinquency of a Minor.  Mr. Jettelson waived extradition and was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail awaiting extradition by El Paso County, Colorado Sheriff.


 

 

Other Information:

 

2 new MOST WANTED fugitives were added to our website recently.  John D. Horn Sr. 48, Utica is wanted for alleged felony Non-Support Violation with bond set at $19,500 cash.   And Amy C. Sullins, 32, Brookfield, is wanted for alleged felony Forgery with bond set at $5,000.  If you have information on the location of either of these people please call your nearest law enforcement agency or call our dispatch at 660-646-2121, you may also send a tip via our website at www.livcoso.org (note there may be a delay in emailed tips being viewed by the sheriff or a deputy).


We currently have 39 people in custody at the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail, 8 of which are female detainees.
