On March 18 we investigated a call of a domestic disturbance at a location in Utica. Investigation shows a victim was treated at Hedrick Medical Center for injury and we arrested Kimberly A. McCoy, 39, Utica, for alleged Domestic Assault. Ms. McCoy was incarcerated and has been formerly charged in Livingston County Associate Circuit Court with alleged Domestic Assault 2nd degree and remains incarcerated in lieu of $10,000 bond.
On March 21 deputies investigated a disturbance in Chula where some ladies were having a disagreement over ownership of vehicles and other property. No arrests were made as no crime was committed. The people agreed to disperse and handle the situation in an appropriate manner.
On March 19 we investigated a report of a domestic disturbance in Utica where a couple had gotten into a verbal argument and the female wanted the man to leave. We spoke with both parties and no arrests were made. The male left to stay with other relatives and no further action was wanted.
On March 19 a deputy stopped a vehicle after the driver of that vehicle reportedly nearly collided with the patrol car. The driver was identified as Nannette C. Alexander, 40, Chillicothe, was found to allegedly not have a valid drivers license. Ms. Alexander was arrested for alleged No Valid Drivers License (3rd Offense) and Failing to Yield. Ms. Alexander was issued the summons at the LCSO and released to a family member.
This week LCSO handled Court security and bailiff duties for a jury trail on Wednesday which lasted into the evening hours. The case was a change of venue from Daviess County and the accused man was found innocent on two counts of felony stealing.
We currently have 33 people incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
