MOTHER’S DAY = LIFE, LOVE, AND COMPASSION

Here we are in May with Mother’s Day weekend quickly approaching. Most everyone will be celebrating this wonderful time with their mother, step-mother, foster mom, or grand and great grandmothers.   Countless gifts will be delivered, cards sent, and meals shared to help celebrate what I think is one of the more important days of the year.

We at the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) know the importance of mothers in every family whether human or animal; MOM has a never ending job and gets joy and satisfaction from seeing her children grow and mature.

Take some time and consider all that has transpired in your life and what you gained and continue to receive or utilize from that very important relationship. Only a mother can truly understand the difficulties of bearing children and struggles of raising their family with love, kindness, and compassion.

One thing we all see and many do not realize that regardless who you are, what your social class is, good person or bad, we all have a mother. All of us have everything in our lives to thank from the person we call “Mom”.

None of us know how much time we have on God’s earth, so have no regrets and share your heart warming feelings this Mother’s Day weekend and make a great memory with those in your life.

Thank you for reading and for your support of the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

Respectfully,

Steve Cox
