Blessings Happen

Blessings Happen

October 28 I was fortunate to survive a heart attack.  It was a critical time for my family, career, and many co-workers.

I was cleared by the doctors to return home the day before Thanksgiving.  My words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation for the care and treatment from the local Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services, Officer Huber, Hedrick staff, Life Flight Eagle, and Saint Luke’s on the Plaza medical teams.

Very important to all of us were the hundreds of cards, guests, and thousands of prayers.  My family and I appreciate the help, support, and faith.  The thoughts and prayers paid off as I am now home and recovering.  My doctors told me I suffered no heart damage and will be stronger than I was before this happened.

The welcome home which took place last Wednesday was very humbling and appreciated.  THANK YOU! This community has always been and will continue to be amazing.

I want to specially thank the LCSO staff for being extremely helpful and dedicated during this time.  We have a great team and each member truly cares about our office and county.

A special Thank You to my wife, Beth for doing everything in her power to save my life on October 28.

I look forward to the next steps in following my doctor’s orders and soon returning to my office.  We had a staff meeting at my home this afternoon but it is not the same as being there and helping people first hand daily.

Respectfully,

Steve Cox
